Who Needs Forever?
Music is a constant companion in my life, whether I'm painting in my studio or exercising at the gym. I'm a voracious consumer and I enjoy diverse genres, usually starting and ending my days with favorite tunes as a way to relax. Occasionally, even after listening to a song many times, I'll truly hear a lyric for the first time, and then it sparks an idea for a new painting. That was the case with this landscape from central Pennsylvania's Black Moshannon State Park. When I called Pennsylvania home, Black Moshannon was my favorite place to paint. Located within a twenty minute drive from my house, it inspired dozens of paintings based on its ever-changing seasons and scenery. I miss not being able to visit it easily now that I call Tennessee home. Nonetheless, change is a constant in life. I can return to this location and handle its character differently than I would have in the past. As such, the rhetorical question of, "Who needs forever?" comes to mind... I didn't need to stay the
