While most sencha presents as herbaceous, this organic sencha has beautiful notes of tropical fruit, toasted cereal and nuts, and just a hint of parsley. You may have noticed that this sencha is the only organic green tea we carry from Japan. This is because Japanese tea production historically includes the addition of nitrogen to the soil to achieve the famed umami flavors in its green teas.
