These are handmade Lightweight Hickory Mahogany laminated Staffs. These staff come in various sizes. Please see what options are available below. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. These particular staffs are 1" in diameter in the center portion and are currently un-tapered. If you would like these staffs to be tapered, please send me a message and I'll be happy to help.  These staffs are not always available.  The materials consist of lightweight hickory. We separate the lighter hickories for tournament purposes where speed is crucial. These staffs are also excellent for someone who wants to gradually strengthen their body without the strain of a full weight staff. There is a strip of beautiful mahogany wood down the middle for beauty and strength. Mahogany is a light weight beautiful exotic wood.  Because lightweight hickory is used, these staffs are not intended for contact of any kind. Please see my other listings if you desire a
