  This listing is for a Purpleheart Wooden Bo Staff. This is an upgrade to a common bamboo or rattan staff. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan wooden training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. These particular staffs are 72inches in length. These staffs have a center diameter of 1,1/4" throughout its length. This staff tapers to about 15/16 inches at the tips. Tapering greatly increases rotational speed while still still maintining the staff's strength for all uses.  The materials consist of purpleheart wood which is one of the most beautiful exotic woods. Its hardness is comparable to hickory and has a beautiful natural dark purple color. These staffs may or may not be laminated depending on best wood selection and availability. It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil, which causes the purpleheart to have a rich dark purple color.
