White Oak Hanbo Staff, 42 3/8" Discounted

This is a handmade wooden Hanbo Staff. The Hanbo Staff or Half Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter is a constant 1 inch throughout its length. This hanbo staff is 42 3/8" The materials consist of white oak. White oak is one of the most beautiful domestic woods. It is both moderately hard with good flexibility.  I do not recommend white oak for contact due to the superiority of hickory, however this staff will make an excellent solo use or tournament hanbo staff, or hiking staff due to its reasonable weight. (15oz). This staff also has an area of wavy grain, making it not suitable for contact.  *For Discounted Staffs: these staffs have sections where the grain is not ideally straight or some other cosmetic imperfection, making these staffs not recommended for contact.
