BENRUS "Official Watch of Famous Airlines"   In the early 1920's worldwide pocketwatch manufacture and sales were on the decline, it was then that three young brothers saw an opportunity to begin a wristwatch company, to produce moderately priced watches for the common-man, BENRUS. Benrus Watch Company, an American company, founded in New York City in 1921 by three brothers: Oscar, Benjamin and Ralph; Romanian immigrants. But it was until 1929 when the company has the first important Benrus watch, "Benrus Airman", from the beginnings of transport aviation. That same year, the success continued with Benrus Flyer in 1929 and Benrus Pilot in 1931. Whit a very unique case and crystal, we are presenting today a very nice Benrus wristwatch from late 1940's. It is in good condition! A beautiful +70 years old precious timepiece in perfect working order. It is a manual wind watch caliber ETA 1220, 17 jewels movement, sub second hand, Swiss made.It has a rectangle case and very unique fancy lugs
