Non-bulbing onion type Seed Count: Approx. 100 seeds Days to Maturity: 60-80 days Description:  Scarlet Bandit Bunching Onions have beautiful, scarlet red streaked, slender bulbs, with color that intensifies as the weather grows colder.  This stunning bunching onion can be used like any other bunching onion, or scallion, and will make any dish pop.  I personally like to throw scallions in almost anything, so I make sure to grow lots of them.  This variety can be sown in the spring, or in the fall, since it over winters well.  Scarlet Bandit Onions are super easy to grow, and a fun alternative to the traditionally green bunching onion to grow. How To Grow Sowing:  Since onions take a few months to mature from seed, gardeners with a short growing season should start their onion seed indoors. Plant seeds 1/2 in. deep in small containers, 2-3 months before the last frost date.  Keep the soil moist and at room temp. As soon as seedlings emerge, provide plenty of light on a sunny windowsill
