Grapefruit holds on and the nose is lovely and rich. Palate is viscous, satisfying, layered, lots of honey, juniper, orange peel and a hint of ginger, pepper, a hint of vanilla, grapefruit essence and some orange peel alongside more cedar and a hint of lemon. Long finish, this is the defining difference from our first bourbon barrel, finish hangs on longer with a touch less botanical and a touch more barrel sweetness and balancing spice.
