The barrel influence is additive, not distracting, softening the peppery character of the distillate with some soft vanilla and a hint of baking spice. The palate is pleasant and crisp, easy drinking and loaded with flavor: mango, white grape, slate and a natural sweetness with pear and pepper. The finish is long, expressive, full of spice and a hint of oak, caramels and pepper, ginger, orange peel, mango, white grape and a final pop of agave to send it off.
