Crawfish Pie

  Serving Size: 8-10 | Cook Time: 2 Hrs 30 Min Crawfish pie began as a very localized specialty in south Louisiana – where Cajuns have always found inventive ways to use every ingredient at hand (and crawfish were always easily available in the old days). What started as a way to use plentiful “mudbugs” eventually became the decadent, rich dish known as crawfish pie. Our version of crawfish pie incorporates an earthy roux base; the Cajun trinity of onion, bell pepper and celery; juicy Louisiana crawfish; and authentic Cajun spices – all encased in a flaky pie crust. Apple pie it ain’t – it’s a delectably rich and tasty Cajun specialty unlike any other pie in the world!
