GONDOR™ Silver Penny
The First Coin of the Fourth Age featuring ARAGORN™ and PALANTIR™ Made to commemorate the crowning of Aragorn II Elessar and the restoration of the throne, this Gondor silver penny is struck in 1/16 troy ounce of .90 pure silver. Surrounding Aragorn on horseback, inscribed in Tengwar: “Elessar, Arwen, Gondor.” The coin is a celebration of Aragorn’s coronation as well as his marriage to Arwen™. On the reverse is the White Tree of Gondor, which grows in the Court of the Fountain. Above it are the seven stars of the House of Elendil: the Kings of Gondor. Below it are the seven stones or Palantíri™ used for communication within Middle-earth and beyond. Over the tree is the sword and text Andúril™, meaning the Flame of the West in Quenya. Aragorn carried Andúril after the Elves of Rivendell™ reforged it from the shards of Narsil™. Just below the sword are the words “Year One” meaning Year One of the Fourth Age.
