During a period of unrest following the disaster, Swoon visited Cormiers and worked with local mango growers to assist with reconstruction. In 2013, Curry began working on after-school programming at a community center in the village, which would host multiple events for children. It was in this program that the Edline prints came together, as the young subject played the sun character in a shadow-puppet play. Caledonia Curry, whose art appears under the name Swoon, was born in 1977 in New London, CT. She attended the Pratt Institute (2001). Curry has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (2006); Venice Biennale (2009); Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY (2014); Detroit Institute of Art, Detroit, MI (2016); Contemporary Arts Center, Cinci
