SQUARE TAIL YOKE POCKET SHIRT IN LOGWOOD COTTON TOTE CLOTH
The Short Sleeve Square Tail Yoke Pocket Shirt is constructed with bias-cut yokes running from a seam at the back of the neck over the shoulders, and down to the lower chest. The front yokes are open from the centre as large pockets. The true shoulder seams are reversed, leaving a clean finish inside the garment. Shirts are sewn with ecru 100% cotton thread and fastened with black melamine Savile Row tailor's fly buttons. Based on the type 476 shirt from 2019, this short sleeved Tote Cloth version is softer and lighter weight, with hemmed cuffs and side splits. Tote cloth is a simple, loosely woven mid to light weight cotton plain cloth, woven in England and based on the fabrics used for promotional tote bags. The surface of the textile crinkles and softens as it is washed and worn. The logwood dye, or bloodwood, is a tree native to the West Indies and South America. When the ground heartwood is soaked in water it makes a blood red liquid which dyes to a warm grey.
