THREE POCKET SQUARE TAIL SHIRT IN WATTLE LINEN COTTON COVERT
The Three Pocket Square Tail Shirt is a combination of several previous Tender shirt designs. The simple square body, with split tails and a flat back, has large hand pockets sewn into the side seams and a third left chest pocket. The sleeves are pleated into false cuffs, cut into the seam. Shirts are sewn with ecru 100% cotton thread and fastened with black melamine Savile Row tailor's fly buttons. A covert coat is a traditional British tailored overcoat, used while hunting, and intended to act as camouflage in thick undergrowth. It is usually cut from ‘thorn proof’ covert fabric, supposedly woven so that a briar thorn could be wiggled all the way through the structure of the cloth without breaking the yarn. Tender’s indigo cotton and natural linen covert cloths are woven in the same pattern as a traditional thornproof covert, trapping the contrasting yarn weft behind the ecru cotton warp. The Wattle dye is made from a thorny tree native to Australia, India,
