Developing an Understanding of Quadratics (Algebra 1)

In this lesson set, students create graphs of quadratic functions, understand how the characteristics of quadratic functions differ from those of linear functions, and learn strategies for solving the associated equations.   Through engaging in this lesson set, students will:   create and interpret graphs for quadratic functions;   learn strategies for solving quadratic equations; and   understand how the root of a function is connected to its graphical representation.  Standards: A.CED.A.2, A.REI.B.4, A.REI.B.4.B, A.REI.D.10, F.IF.B.4
