Each merkaba is slightly different due to shungite's natural mineral inclusions and veins. Being hand-carved and not machined, you will appreciate all the little variations and imperfections. The merkaba comes with a custom made square wooden stand made from reclaimed wood by wood artist Mike Stark of Olympia, Washington. What is a merkaba? A merkaba (sometimes spelled "merkabah") is an eight-pointed three-dimensional star in sacred geometry. The merkaba is said to be the "divine light vehicle" used by ascended masters to connect with the higher realms, something like a chariot. "Mer" means light, "Ka" means spirit, and "Ba" means body. With its intersecting triangles, it represents the connection between the human and the Divine.
