At first, this was going to be called Lairds Apple Brandy M.J.K., but we reserve the M.J.K. name for a beer when it has triple-barrel-aged threads as at least the main component. This double-barrel-aged English Barleywine is a blend exclusively of our M.J.K. Mash #1 recipe brewed in 2021 and aged in Willett Family Estate Bourbon Barrels. In 2022, the M.J.K. barrels were racked to fresh Lairds Apple Brandy Barrels to rest for their final 9 months.. ABV:  20%  |  375ml  |  Bottled STILL DECA- - Blended Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, Barleywine, Quad and Port Deca-, a prefix denoting a factor of 10. This beer represents more than 5 years of thoughtful planning and execution to explore a new boundary of our barrel aged beers.
