The inspiration for this pattern comes from a stitch being used in a pattern. Becoming obsessed with the said stitch I began to think about how great it would look as the main stitch in a cowl. The result is this comfy and intriguing cowl. It is knit in the round from the bottom up. This cowl begins with a traditional 2X2 ribbing, followed by a horizontal braid and a simple special stitch worked over 2 rounds. The braid and ribbing will be repeated at the top to make the cowl symmetrical. This cowl pattern is offered in 2 different sizes: the smaller size is a simple cowl made to fit once around the neck, while the second one wraps twice snuggly.
