Another transitional singing bowl with signs of partial folding at the rim and the symmetrical shape of a later scraped rim. This example has some heavy oxidation which also interferes with the tone. Similar bowls ring longer but the oxidation also muffles the harmonics, so the tone is overall more warm and mellow than most. The harmonics are still present but less intense and the overall effect is very harmonious. Similar to M117, it is part of a group of bowls showing the evolution of singing bowl construction. The hammered rim being modified to a simpler shape, with this being an intermediate form with the flared rim.
