Jim Boeheim’s Syracuse Orange entered the 2011-2012 season with a lofty #5 preseason ranking and they lived up to it. The Orange never fell out of the Top 5 and spent 6 weeks ranked as the #1 team in the country. Led by senior Kris Joseph and sophomore Dion Waiters, Syracuse rolled through the regular season, finishing 31-2. The Orange headed into the NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament. Syracuse beat UNC Asheville, Kansas State and Wisconsin before falling to the No. 2 seed Ohio State, 77-70.
