Maple Throw

Size: 54" x 70" (137cm x 178cm).Amélie Lehoux is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Montreal, Canada, known for mixing collage, traditional media, and digital into work that sits somewhere between the tangible and the intangible. She describes colour as the first thing you notice in any image, and with the Maple Throw, she leaned all the way into that idea. The design started with nature - she spends a lot of time at Montreal's botanical gardens, and that habit of looking closely at leaves, shapes, and organic forms bleeds into everything she makes. The result is a collage-style scatter of shapes across a warm off-white ground: rust and teal leaf forms, mustard zigzag edges, navy blobs, blush rectangles, earthy brown pools.
