One of the very best nectar plants for attracting butterflies, it creeps slowly by rhizomes, making it a great choice for butterfly gardens. Fragrant rose-colored blooms attract butterflies and birds and make excellent cut flowers. Prairie Milkweed is native to eastern Nebraska and is hardy to Zones 4 - 7.
