3D Design & Printing

Our 3D Printing camp is perfect for any camper interested in mechanics and design! Throughout the week, campers will learn about the history of manufacturing, the utility of 3D printing, all about different types of printers, materials available on the market, and so much more.  Campers will take an in-depth look at the construction of a 3D printer, exploring what each part does to make the machine work. Through hands-on projects, campers will learn all about computer assisted design (CAD) software, allowing them to turn their vision into a printable model. Through understanding the computer processes that take a model and turn it into code instructions for the printer, students will even be able to write their own G-Code by the end of the week!  Throughout the week, campers will have project work time to complete engineering challenges like digitally designing trusses and catapults, as well as plenty of time for designing their own personal projects.
