ACTIVATED BIOCHAR 0.25 - 0.25 - 0.25 is superheated wood and plant matter, burned through a process without oxygen, then ground into a fine consistency and marinated in worm castings, worm casting extract, mycorrhizal fungi and select minerals for several weeks. Rigid and highly porous, biochar acts like a sponge, retaining water, storing nutrients, providing aeration and helping to prevent compaction. These tiny “soil reefs” become home to billions of beneficial microorganisms and encourage microbial diversity in the soil. Biochar also lasts forever, prolonging soil fertility, improving resilience and sequestering atmospheric carbon. It's also excellent for rehydrating garden soils that have become hydrophobic from periods of drought. Simply put, Activated Biochar is one of the best structural, soil amendments available.
