Originally an exhibition that opened in 2006 at the Met; a visual essay in response to the insensitivity and racism exemplified in American media's coverage and depiction of Black citizens in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. The exhibit Incorporated works by Joshua Shaw and Winslow Homer from the museum's permanent collection alongside Walker's silhouettes ; her goal being to depict black life being transformed by external factors such as poverty and environmental racism. A near fine copy. Clean, unclipped, unmarked dust jacket, in protective mylar covering.
