Light shelf wear, in very good condition.  Catlett's  linocuts produced in the late 1940's accompany the lyrics of James Weldon Johnson's song written in 1900 as a commemoration of Abraham Lincoln's Birthday Celebration. Catlett's artwork paired with Johnson's lyrics serve as a testament to the hardship, tribulations and trajectory of enslaved African Americans.
