Watercolor and Japanese drawing ink. This is a painting of a flower from an African Tulip tree that sits on Leucadia Blvd. We've driven by it for years and marveled at its vibrancy. One day I just had to pull over and grab one. The blind contour drawing was done with a brush and Japanese drawing ink. I often use a felt tip pen but the looseness of the ink seemed to match the vibrancy of the flower.
