Seto-ware bowl, crackled tan glaze, painted in very dark brown with bold, free-flowing floral and vine motifs surrounding large calligraphy design inside a double circle. 7-3/4” diameter x 3” high. Edo period. Potter’s marks blurred by glaze spill. Iron-rich glaze gives bone color and crackled skin.
