After World War II, our grandfather, having risen to the rank of Colonel in the Air Force, continued his service in a more administrative capacity.  He left the cold cockpits of B-2 bombers for field offices and board rooms, and evolved into the epitome of a proper officer.  He traded in his dusty fatigues for dress blues and a new briefcase more suited to carrying reports and papers than K rations. Named for his title, The Colonel Bag is no less a tough and rugged briefcase than anything we make, constructed with Spark's own proprietary 100% vegetable tanned leather, and handmade to last a lifetime.  With twin central cargo areas separated by a double padded laptop sleeve, and dual front pouches, the Colonel is ideal to carry, protect and organize your daily necessities, and like all of Spark's full-sized bags, is also built to function as a motorcycle pannier as well.  Designed to minimize the use of metal hardware on the outside, and prevent possible scratches to a motorcycle fuel
