The African Savanna is a beautiful tropical grassland region of South Africa and is made up of grasses, small trees and a diverse community of wildlife. What is a Savanna? Savannas are a transitional biome, not really a forest and not really a desert – just somewhere in between. This habitat is home to many different species of plants and animals around the world, and in Africa it is home to the largest land mammal in the world – the African elephant. ~Multiple Sources Our Collection features: 🐘 African Savanna Elephants are also known as African Bush Elephants. 🦓The Plains Zebra roam the savanna in groups, looking for fresh grass. 🐆 The African Leopard is a predominantly nocturnal animal that spends most of its time in trees to minimize threat exposure. 🦁The Lion is the second fastest land animal in Africa. 🦏 The Rhino. 🦒 Giraffes are herbivores that feed on young leaves of the acacia trees in the African Savanna.
