Okumidori

In the ancient heart of Yame City, a moldering Meiji era home houses Konomi san and his tea shop. The proprietor is a fourteenth generation tea maker and a master blender of matcha. 'Okumidori' is such optimal material for matcha because of its deep green color, full umami taste and richness in mouthfeel. A late-budding variety, it offers the complexity and varied aroma of a blend in single cultivar form. An ample hiire baking, typical of Yame, imparts a deep, toasted and nutty finish to a fresh, sweet and vegetal matcha.
