The latest creation from Maison Mons, this cheese is named ‘Saint-Romain’ in homage to the Gamay grape variety of the same name, found in the Côte Roannaise region. Saint Romain is washed with an extract of Saint-Romain Gamay marc. The texture and flavor is similar to a young Comté, with sweeter notes similar to Emmentaler. It works well as an approachable crowd pleaser for cheese boards but really shines when melted. Perfect as part of a fondue blend for the autumn and winter season! Sold By: Weight Milk Type: Raw Cow's Milk Origin: Bourgogne Franche-Comté, France Pairings: Gamay wine, fig preserve, saucisson sec, roasted mushrooms and potatoes.
