Coupen Low Moc - All Black Horsehide
The Coupen Mid Cut boot really pushes the limits of what might be considered a "boot" firmly wedged somewhere between a derby shoe & a chukka boot. Standing at 5" tall (including the heel), these are a great daily driver, comfortable and easy to wear, while still retaining the chunky construction and inherent durability of a much heavier shoe. The moc toe version is everything we love about the standard model, but with a moc-stitched toe. Perfect for slightly more outdoorsy styling. They're made from an all-black horsehide, a dense yet supple horse leather with a visible shine and a beautifully-smooth face. Horsehide leathers age differently to cow leathers, developing larger rolls and curves from wear as opposed to the tighter creases that form on cowhide. Despite the solid finish on the exterior, this is a tea-core leather, and will "fade" or scuff over time to reveal the natural brown center of the leather beneath the black dye.
