8HU (8 Hour Union) is a Joe McCoy sub-label that focuses specifically on the garments produced after the rapid postwar industrial boom in the US (roughly 1930-1950), recreating some of the most humble yet influential workwear pieces of the last century. These are a reproduction of a reproduction as it were: during the 1950s and beyond, popular military styles, like in this case, the OG-107 Men's, Trousers, Cotton Sateen, were recreated in civilian fabrics by civilian tailors. Blending workwear and military, this pair are made from a lightweight unwashed chambray, with a breezy weave and relaxed fit. Cut with a medium high rise, a relaxed top block, and nice full legs with a gentle taper, they're a great summertime fit, with a bunch of belt loops and two side tabs that can be used to bring the waist in to a snug fit if desired - allowing (incentivizing, even) prospective wearers to size up for an even more exaggerated silhouette.
