A Special Place and Time

Imagine the Lowcountry of South Carolina during the Golden Age of America, when industrialists enjoyed winters in its warm climate and lush natural surroundings. For those who grew up around here, “The Bluff” was a community. Harvey ‘Fish’ Beach was a young family man starting out as the gardener at the R.T. Wilson mansion and caring for the surrounding lands. ‘Fish’ Beach and his growing family reveled in the rugged beauty and adventures that made survival interesting, where people often traveled by boat and more than likely the roads were still dirt.
