I'm an advocate of personal safety equipment (PPE) and there is nothing more important than protecting your eyes while creating a tree. Students at my in-person classes get lectured before and reminded during class to have eye protection in place at all times. ANSI 287.1 standard clear safety classes offer full protection and comfort at the same time. If you are wearing your own glasses you are protected in most cases.
