Nine Patch Crib Quilt: Circa 1880

Finely made Nine Patch on Point crib quilt. It was done with a beautiful variety of light and dark printed fabrics and framed with an exceptional black and blue floral print not seen elsewhere on the quilt. Corner blocks are triangles with a related black and blue fabric that is also used for the binding, The squares in each block are 3/4 inch to a side. The quilt is in pristine, unwashed condition. Measurements are 42 inches square. Pennsylvania origin; made 1880's. The backing is a brown calico print with a related fabric on two opposing sides.
