Early Pinwheels quilt with large pinwheels to coordinate with the size of the quilt. It measures 90" x 94 " The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition with the glaze intact on the chintz border. The fabric has birds drinking from a fountain. The quilt has a lovely, color coordinated combination of fabrics. The end meant for the head has 3/4 Evening Stars, not seen elsewhere on the quilt. Made circa 1840; Maryland origin.
