Coffee grown in the high hills next to the enormous Lake Kivu and its surrounding volcanic loam produces surprisingly jammy, rich coffees. The Murundo is a superb example; you'll taste a syrupy black cherry body and a stunning sweetness almost like dessert wine. There's plenty of toasted sugar in there, too, so don't be afraid to add cream!!
