Abstract Mark-Making: An Introduction to Line Course

In this beginner course, we take a look at what a line actually is, types of lines, where we see lines in life and in Art, AND we use lines to create an abstract work of art. This course is designed for anyone 4 years and up (younger artists should be supported in their creative journey). Students in this course will need the following supplies:Paper (any size)Watercolor Paints (if you do not have watercolor paints, you can color with markers and paint over the markers with a wet paintbrush to create a watercolor effect)Tempera Paints (I suggest tempera for a second layer of color, but any bright, vibrant material will work such as markers, oil pastels or crayons)Drawing Materials (In the video I use acrylic paint pens, but artists can use pens, colored pencils, crayons, pastels, or markers)
