Basic Serger Sewing Class – A basic serger sewing class is designed for those who are new to using a serger or want to refresh their knowledge.   Some of the topics we will discuss in class are: Parts of the serger and their functions. Threading a serger, including how to loop the needles, the lower looper, and upper looper. Different types of serger stitches and their uses, such as the three-thread overlock stitch, four-thread overlock stitch and the rolled hem stitch. How to adjust tension and differential feed. Basic serger techniques such as: serging seams, finishing edges, and creating rolled hems. Make sample stitch book of the most common stitches. Troubleshooting common serger problems.
