Goldenrod Scarf Dyeing Workshop with Dani Parmar

Discover the art of dyeing with the vibrant hues of a stunning native plant: goldenrod. Her brilliant yellow blooms offer a unique and sustainable source of natural dyestuff that yields beautiful shades from soft and rich yellows to deep, golden greens. Dani Parmar will lead us in extracting color from this native plant, preparing our fibers, creating patterns with submersion dyeing, and color shifting techniques to create one-of-a-kind all natural scarves that are perfect for the season. Each participant will go home with a beautifully-dyed scarf to wear for the fall season!  The cost of the workshop includes all materials, participants do not need to bring anything.  About Dani: Dani Parmar is a community arts facilitator and multidisciplinary artist drawn most to sustainable artmaking techniques including natural dyes and ceramics.
