1940's Art Glass Pony Sculpture by Paden City for Barth Arts

These beautiful clear glass pony sculptures were produced by Paden City Manufacturing Company, founded in Paden City West Virginia in 1916. Their production is perhaps the most collectible of all American early 20th century glasswork. The original pony molds were ordered and owned by Barth Art, a glass finishing business. Two manufacture defects on one pony; the first defect is an uneven pressed glass and second defect is a half circle that caused a spiral pattern in the glass. see pictures Minor imperfections due to age, located under both base, small chip.
