1940s Black Velvet Opera Cape with Gold Sequin Shoulders

The textile of this cape is unmarked, black silk velvet, with gold-tone sequins at the shoulders. This cape has one button at the neck to close and strong, padded shoulders that create a great silhouette. There is one hole on the front of the cape which goes through to the lining, and one spot of discoloration on the back of the cape (see images). There are tears and spots of discoloration in the lining, but these are not visible when worn. All of these issues do not detract from what an incredible piece this cape is!
