a winged cherub delivering a heart fob seal - L'AMITIE - antique wax seal

Make an impression with this Georgian or Victorian era fob wax seal depicting a little winged cherub, or Cupid, with wings delivering a heart under the the French sentiment L’AMITIE which translates FRIENDSHIP Please review the photos carefully as they are the most important part of the description. Also, some of the antique seals are very large, some very small, and I have carefully measured each, see below. So much mystery but I'll leave the enjoyment of the research to you. - approximate height - 7/8“ (23mm)- matrix measurement - almost 3/4” x 5/8” (17mm x 15mm)- matrix - carnelian- fob handle - not sure but it could be a well done gold gilt over a base metal or it could be actual gold (not tested) because it’s all the same color, no fading or worn areas All sales final on antique wax seals - no returns Old world charm ... go make some history!
