A cream, tan and brown streaked fossil carved mountain lion created by Melvin Sandoval - delivered to Sunshine Studio in February of 2022. The tail wraps lyrically over the body and Melvin has added a fantastic offering bundle to the top of the back with sinew featuring a big hand made agate arrowhead - held in place with penn and melon shell heishi. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess & strength of will.
