Plant Description: From the Nikita Botanic Garden in Yalta, Ukraine, Universal Olive Tree ™ is under evaluation in our region. Universal Olive Tree ™ fruit is valued for both its large size and high oil content.  We recommend planting Universal™ with another variety as we are not sure about its pollination requirements. Olives are wind pollinated and should be planted no more than 20 ft. apart. You can assist pollination by moving pollen from flower to flower with a small brush. Hardy to 10F. or below. Height:  12-15 ft Watering Needs:  Moderate, fairly drought tolerant Sun Needs: Sun loving Soil Needs: Well-draining soil Bloom Time: May Ripening Time: October-November Bearing Age: 2-3 years
