Champagne Gatinois Brut Tradition

This wonderful small grower is one of the rising stars of Champagne. Located in the Grand Cru village of Ay, home to titans such as Bollinger, Deutz, and Gosset, Louis Gatinois crafts lovely, rich, and finely detailed Champagnes. Ay is home to some of the most coveted Grand Cru Pinot Noir in all of Champagne, and Gatinois has traditionally sold a large portion of their crop to the Grande Marques, specifically Bollinger. These days, Monsieur Gatinois is bottling more and more for the family’s label.  Showcasing classic Ay notes of dark cherry, blood orange, and mineral, the long aging (36 months) on this also brings out complex brioche and toast notes. Overall, it's an inspiring Champagne at a wonderful price.
