Chateau Tour des Graves Cotes de Bourg Blanc

Tour des Graves is a 5th generation, certified organic, family-run estate in the Cotes de Bourg. This rather obscure appellation is just east, right across the Gironde from Margaux. Run with passion and vigor by David Arnaud, the white wine they make here is compelling, complex, and absolutely delicious. A blend of 80% Sauvignon Gris and 20% Semillon aged in French oak for 8 months, it is a powerful and highly aromatic white wine. Smelling of ripe peach, apricot, caramelized melon, white flowers, and vanilla, it is broad and finely textured on the palate. It honestly drinks like a top-flight White Graves or Pessac-Leognan at a fraction of the price.
