Time Place Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon

All of the Time Place wines are fantastic -- we also stock their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir -- but their Napa Valley Cabernet is their most complete wine. From a great vintage and produced mainly with grapes grown in Yountville, winemaking is handled by Jamey Whetstone, who used to manage Mustard's Grill in Saint Helena and who also trained with Ehren Jordan at Turley.  Immensely likable, very stylish, and super smooth, it reminds us a bit of Caymus, pre-2012 vintage. With loads of ripe and luxurious fruit (cassis, raspberry jam, dark cherry) framed perfectly by French oak (50% new), it drinks smooth and easy with ripe and soft tannin, mild acidity, and great balance. Highly recommended!
